Earcom is a creative sound design, music, voice and interactive sound company working across broadcast and interactive media.
Games
We're an experienced audio out-source facility, often working
alongside game design teams,
either as the sole audio designers or in partnership with the in-house
team. Outsourcing is an excellent way to increase production
capabilities for a
limited
period with none of the usual staffing overheads.
Recent titles include the top ten games Lego
Batman and Pure
(which scored an average of 85% in reviews). Guinness World Records:
The Videogame was released
mid-November 2008 and spent several weeks as the biggest selling
non-Nintendo Wii game.
Autumn 2008 saw four games released that we worked on
covering Xbox 360, PS3, DS, Wii, PSP and PC.
Using our expertise in interactive music, we're
creating an interactive generative music score for a very exciting new
multiplayer online title, details have yet to be publicly
announced for this title.
Film
& Video
We recently completed work on the sound design for
the film Book of Blood, based on
a Clive Barker short story.
With a David Lynch-inspired sound world, this has shaped up to be one
of our most creative projects yet.
We mixed Warner
Breaks 2008 advertising campaign for Vanilla Films and acted as
sound consultants for the soon to be released film Orson and Me, directed by Richard
Linklater.
Mobile
December 08 saw FutureSound for the iPhone/iPod
Touch released. We provided the generative music for the system as well
as advised on its development. For Panini
we've
produced all of the audio for their new Mutones
IP which has recently been test launched in Ireland. We've worked on
many mobile games including several for PopCap.
Radio
Our sister company Perfectly Normal
Productions has been busy with radio productions including the
drama The Johnny Cash Hi-Jack Road Show for BBC Radio 4, the
documentary Growing Up With The Goons for Radio 2 and The PMQ Show for
5 Live. Next up is The Adventures of Sexton Blake due to be broadcast
Summer 09 on BBC Radio 2 followed by a BBC Worldwide CD release.
