Earcom is a creative sound design, music, voice and interactive sound facility working across broadcast and interactive media.
Recent projects have included games, adverts, corporate
video, ring tones, film, radio and theatre.
Games
Lego Batman, Pure and Pipe Mania have all been released
within two weeks of each other. Pure is averaging reviews of 85% with
very
favourable reviews for Lego Batman and Pipe Mania. On Batman and Pure
we worked on the sound design whilst Pipe Mania has both our sound
design and music.
Guinness World Records:
The Videogame is another of our
recently completed titles,
bringing
to four games that
we've worked on that will be released this Autumn, across all the major
platforms.
Using our expertise in interactive music, we're
creating an interactive generative music score for a very exciting new
multiplayer online title, details have also yet to be publicly
announced for this title.
Film
& Video
We've recently completed work on the sound design for the film Book of Blood which is based on a Clive Barker short story. With a David Lynch-inspired sound world, this has shaped up to be one of our most creative projects yet.
We mixed Warner
Breaks 2008 advertising campaign for Vanilla Films and acted as
sound consultants on the currently-in-production film Orson and Me, directed by Richard
Linklater.
Theatre
In March we re-created the sound design, mixing old
with new, for an episode of The
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, which was performed live in
front of 700 people as part of the annual Douglas Adams Memorial
Lecture, with many of the original cast involved. Doors hummed, Marvin
clanked and infinitely improbable things happened.
Installation
We've produced more commercial generative music
installations than anyone else and this work continues to grow. Our
most recent client is the London Business Innovation Centre. Due to the
growth of this area, we are now developing, in partnership with
industry veteran Sandy White, our own audio hardware.
Mobile
For Panini we've
produced all of the audio for a whole
new playing card and ringtone IP which is shortly to feature a major TV
launch campaign. Covering punk to hip hop, classical to disco, it's a
good example of our production range.
Radio
Our sister company, Perfectly Normal
Productions, is
growing with several major announcements to be made shortly.
